Cepagatti road accident leaves 60-year-old scooter rider seriously injured

A 60-year-old man was seriously injured in a road accident in Cepagatti on Saturday morning, October 17. The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 AM on via Bruno Profeta in the Vallemare district.

Preliminary reports suggest that a parked Hyundai suddenly moved into the roadway, striking the scooter ridden by the victim. The impact caused the scooter to hit the guardrail, leaving the driver with multiple serious injuries. Emergency responders, including Life ambulances, Manoppello Soccorso, and a medical helicopter from Pescara, arrived at the scene to stabilize the man before transporting him to Santo Spirito Hospital in Pescara in critical condition.

Local police are investigating the cause of the vehicle's sudden movement, with mechanical failure being one of the primary hypotheses. The Carabinieri managed traffic at the scene, while firefighters worked to secure the area.
