Cercanías Madrid C-4 line faces service disruptions and safety concerns
Commuters on the Cercanías Madrid C-4 line, specifically between Parla and Getafe Sector 3, have reported recurring vibrations and movements during travel. In response to these passenger complaints, the political group Podemos Parla has requested information from ADIF and the State Railway Safety Agency (AESF) regarding the condition of the tracks, recent technical inspections, and maintenance schedules.
Podemos Parla cited Ministry of Transport documentation mentioning emergency actions due to severely damaged rails. While the group is seeking accountability, they have not provided inspection results that confirm a current safety risk.
Separately, reports indicate significant service instability across the Cercanías network. Passengers have noted frequent delays and cancellations often attributed to "operational causes." Data from Treneamos showed that on November 4, only half of the trains measured across Spain were running on time, with the C-4 line being among the most heavily impacted by these disruptions.
