Cerchio celebrates 30th anniversary of Bulla Indulgentiarum

The town of Cerchio celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Bulla Indulgentiarum on August 23 and 24. The event featured a blend of religious ceremonies, historical reenactments, and community participation.

Religious activities included the opening of the Porta di San Bartolomeo, the lighting of a votive lamp, and the reading of the Bull of Indulgence granted by Pope Leo XIV. Notable attendees included Monsignor Rino Fisichella, the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Holy See Andrii Yurash, and the Bishop of Marsi, Monsignor Giovanni Massaro.

The festivities also included a historical procession through the town center on August 24, involving various historical groups, musicians, and flag-wavers. A significant highlight was the return of the Sbandieratori e Musici dell’Universitas Circuli, who performed alongside the Sbandieratori dei Quattro Quarti dell’Aquila.
