Cerdanyola Council submits revised €10 million neighbourhood revitalisation plan
The Cerdanyola municipal council has re‑submitted an updated candidacy for the Generalitat de Catalunya's 2026 Pla de Barris, focusing on the Les Fontetes, Quatre Cantons and Avinguda Catalunya areas. The revised proposal cuts the budget to €10.0 million, to be shared equally between the council and the Catalan government, and asks for a €5.016 million subsidy.
The plan aims to transform the three zones through public‑space renewal, refurbishment of municipal facilities, energy‑efficiency measures, environmental recovery of the Riu Sec and initiatives to boost social and economic activity. Key actions include renovating the González street park, remodelling the Centre Cívic Quatre Cantons, modernising the Les Fontetes municipal market and creating the Can Altimira innovation hub.
