Cerdanyola del Vallès faces spending debates and new housing proposal

Cerdanyola del Vallès is facing discussions regarding municipal spending and significant urban development. The political group Podem Cerdanyola has organized a public meeting to debate the destination of local tax resources and identify the city's priorities.

Separately, a new urban project has been proposed to transform the Pelleria area, a nearly 20-hectare site adjacent to Sant Cugat. The plan involves constructing 1,116 homes, of which 527 would be designated as official protection housing. The development also aims to include 54,700 square meters of green spaces, 21,700 square meters for facilities, and areas for economic activity. While the project is a private initiative being processed by the Cerdanyola City Council, the government of Sant Cugat has expressed its intent to participate in the proposal's development.
