Cerdanyola del Vallès: Local council updates and policy shifts

Several administrative and political developments are occurring in Cerdanyola del Vallès. Cristina Gallardo has concluded her three-year term as a councillor for Guanyem Cerdanyola, emphasizing her commitment to public education and her role in providing opposition oversight.

Regarding local management, the municipal council has approved initial price increases for various services set to take effect in 2027. These changes, which include a general 2.5% increase, will affect education, sports, culture, and youth services, such as swimming lessons and museum entries.

Additionally, the municipal council has called on the Generalitat to review access restrictions to natural spaces caused by the African swine fever (PPA) outbreak. A motion supported by the opposition requests that authorities use epidemiological data and wild boar presence to determine which areas, including parts of Collserola Natural Park, can progressively reopen to the public through safe and delimited itineraries.
