Cerebras Systems reports 103% core revenue growth driven by cloud demand

Cerebras Systems reported mixed second-quarter 2026 results, characterized by a massive surge in cloud services revenue alongside a decline in traditional hardware sales. Core revenue reached approximately $210 million, a 103% year-over-year increase, driven largely by a 287% jump in core cloud and services revenue to $127.7 million. However, the company's hardware and AI chip sales fell to $54.1 million, down from $70.3 million in the previous year.

Despite the growth in cloud demand, the company reported a net loss of $450.5 million for the quarter. Following the report, Cerebras shares experienced significant volatility, dropping over 18% in premarket trading.

Looking ahead, Cerebras raised its full-year 2026 core revenue guidance to a range of $880 million to $890 million. CEO Andrew Feldman projected that core revenue could more than triple by 2027, supported by $25.4 billion in remaining performance obligations. The company also plans to unveil its next-generation CS-4 system next week and maintains a major multi-year agreement with OpenAI valued at over $20 billion.
