Cerignola: Driver injured in violent SS16 car rollover

A violent car accident occurred on the SS16 near Cerignola. A vehicle traveling from Foggia toward Cerignola reportedly lost control while entering the exit at high speed. The car overturned multiple times and struck a guardrail before landing in an olive grove below a embankment.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and found in the grove by emergency responders. Local police were the first to provide assistance, and although an air ambulance was dispatched, medical personnel determined that the driver required urgent transport by ground ambulance.
