Cerrillos launches free musical education program for youth

The National Program of Children and Youth Orchestras and Choirs is expanding to various neighborhoods in Cerrillos, Argentina. The initiative offers free musical training to children and adolescents aged 7 to 17.

Mayor Enrique Borelli signed an agreement with the Provincial Ministry of Education and Culture to implement the itinerant program. The project includes musical language classes, rehearsals, concerts, and instrument demonstrations. To ensure economic status is not a barrier, the municipality will provide instruments to students on loan for use during classes.

The program is scheduled to begin on September 5 at NIDO 2 de Abril in the Los Álamos neighborhood. Subsequent activities will take place at the Los Pinares-Ruta 26 secondary school in October and the Las Blancas school in November, concluding with a Christmas concert.
