Cersaie 2026 trade show highlights ceramic tile innovations in Bologna

The 43rd edition of Cersaie, held at the Bologna Exhibition Centre in Italy, showcased the latest advancements in ceramic tile, architectural surfaces, and bathroom furnishings. The event drew over 90,000 visitors and featured approximately 600 exhibitors from 24 countries.

Key design trends identified at the show include a shift toward bold, saturated colors such as deep burgundy, earthy terracottas, and vibrant reds and yellows. Manufacturers are increasingly using color as a primary design tool, often pairing rich hues with neutral tones to create refreshed aesthetics.

Technological and material innovations were also central to the exhibition. Highlights included large-format tiles, 3D textures, intricate digital printing, and nature-inspired surfaces mimicking oak, slate, and lava. Additionally, the industry is focusing on sustainability and functionality through the use of recycled content, slip-resistant finishes, and improved acoustic properties.
