Certaldo river safety works begin on Torrente Agliena
Work has started on hydraulic safety measures along the Torrente Agliena in Certaldo. The Consorzio di Bonifica Medio Valdarno (CBMV) is carrying out consolidation of the riverbanks and riverbed, including demolition of deteriorated structures, placement of protective stones, and installation of biostuies. The project, valued at about €250,000, also incorporates municipal interventions on the bridge of Via Galvani, financed with a €70,000 contribution from the Certaldo municipality.
The aim is to improve hydraulic stability and protect local infrastructure against flood risks, reflecting a coordinated effort between the consortium, the municipal authority and the regional civil engineering body.
