CERTH and Lockheed Martin partner for cybersecurity training

The National Centre for Research and Technological Development (CERTH) and Lockheed Martin have signed a memorandum of cooperation in Thessaloniki to provide cybersecurity training. The partnership aims to educate technicians, military personnel, researchers, and businesses supporting the armed forces in cybersecurity systems.

The initiative introduces a STEM program focused on cyber-physical infrastructure and cyber-range environments. This program is designed to connect academic research with advanced technological approaches, allowing students and researchers to gain practical experience in environments that simulate real-world technological settings.

While the initial phase focuses on training and system comprehension, the collaboration may expand in the future to include the joint development of defense technologies, including cybersecurity and potentially weapons systems.
