CERTV and INDOTEL partner to modernize Dominican public television

The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL) and the State Corporation of Radio and Television (CERTV) have signed a collaboration agreement to modernize the country's public television infrastructure. The initiative aims to facilitate the transition to Digital Terrestrial Television (TTD).

The technological upgrade includes the acquisition of VHF transmitters, radiating panels, radiofrequency systems, multiplexers, and video and audio encoders. To ensure operational stability, the project also incorporates power plants, electrical protection systems, and battery banks.

Guido Gómez Mazara, president of INDOTEL's Board of Directors, stated that the transformation is essential to ensure citizens have access to an open, free signal with improved quality standards. The partnership is intended to optimize the use of the radioelectric spectrum and strengthen the nation's transmission capabilities.
