Cervera hosts European meeting of municipalities sharing its name

Cervera has hosted the first edition of the ‘Trobada de les Cerveres’, an event bringing together representatives from a dozen municipalities across Europe that share the name Cervera. The initiative aims to strengthen ties between these locations, exchange experiences, and promote their shared history and traditions.

The delegation includes representatives from Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), Cerbère (France), Cervara di Roma and Cervere (Italy), as well as various Spanish municipalities including Son Servera, Cervera de Pisuerga, Cervera del Río Alhama, Cervera del Maestrat, Cervera de Cabranes, Cervera del Llano, and VegaCervera.

A key objective of the gathering is the creation of the ‘Via Cerverina’ and the establishment of links that could lead to formal twinning agreements between the participating towns.
