Cerveteri and Ladispoli Move Toward Joint Social Consortium

Local associations and trade unions in the Lazio region have long campaigned for a joint social consortium between the municipalities of Cerveteri and Ladispoli, aiming to coordinate services for poverty, disability, non‑self‑sufficient elderly, fragile families and adolescents.

The mayor of Ladispoli recently proposed that the two city councils work together to draft a unified proposal, hoping to clear disagreements and avoid a polarised debate on whether the consortium should be created. Signatories—including Piccolo Fiore APS/Ets, Nuove Frontiere APS/Ets, Animo ODV and several volunteer and solidarity groups—expressed optimism that the new cooperation could be formalised with the first administrative acts by September, allowing faster, more adaptable social interventions.

The initiative reflects a broader push for a three‑year social‑services program that better matches rapidly changing community needs across the two towns.
