Cerveteri launches PagoPA for cemetery votive‑light payments
The public company Multiservizi Caerite, owned by the Comune di Cerveteri, has digitised its cemetery services and introduced the national PagoPA payment system for the votive‑light fees at the four municipal cemeteries (Cerveteri Vecchio, Cerveteri Nuovo, Sasso and Ceri). Users will receive a notice with a QR code by mail and have up to 60 days to settle the fee online via home‑banking, the CBILL circuit or the IO app, or in person at tobacco shops, banks, post offices and Sisal/Lottomatica points.
Linda Ferretti, Director General of Multiservizi Caerite, said the change is part of a modernization drive aimed at simplifying relations with citizens and improving transparency. Administrator Alessio Pascucci added that the company plans to extend PagoPA to other services such as irrigation in Cerenova and to develop its six municipal pharmacies as local health hubs.
