Cerveteri to host Verdi tribute concert with Europa Musica Orchestra

The town of Cerveteri will host a free musical tribute to Giuseppe Verdi at Piazza Santa Maria on Friday, August 20, at 21:30. The event commemorates the 125th anniversary of the death of the renowned composer.

The performance will be delivered by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Europa Musica, conducted by Maestro Sergio La Stella. The program will span various periods of Verdi's life and include works by other composers from the Verdian era, specifically Umberto Giordano’s ‘Andrea Chenier’ and Georges Bizet’s ‘Carmen’.

Featured vocalists include sopranos Lada Kyssy and Anastasiia Demchenko, contralto Silvia Pasini, tenors Gianluca Zampieri and Matteo Mezzaro, and baritone Badral Chuluunbaatar. Local musicians Augusto Travagliati, Lorenzo Muscolino, and Michele Muscolino will also participate, performing on clarinet, cello, and bassoon respectively.
