Ornella Forastefano dies after being found injured outside Trebisacce hospital

Ornella Forastefano, a 46-year-old woman, died after being found severely injured outside the Trebisacce hospital in the Cosenza province. Medical staff attempted to provide emergency care, but she succumbed to multiple traumas, including injuries to her face and the back of her head.

Investigators believe the attack occurred at the victim's home in Amendolara. The victim's partner, a 42-year-old man of Albanian origin, was identified as the primary suspect. He was tracked down by Carabinieri at the port of Bari while allegedly attempting to flee the country.

The investigation, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of Castrovillari, is examining the possibility of femicide following a violent dispute. Authorities are currently analyzing surveillance footage and conducting interrogations to reconstruct the events leading to the death.
