Cervia homicide: Sixth suspect arrested in fatal assault of Nicola Musiani

Authorities in Italy have arrested a sixth suspect in connection with the death of 53-year-old Nicola Musiani, who was fatally assaulted in Pinarella di Cervia in July. The latest arrest involves 18-year-old Ibrahim Ben Amara, a resident of Forlimpopoli, who was apprehended by carabinieri in Sant’Agata Bolognese.

Ben Amara faces charges of aggravated homicide for futile motives. Investigators utilized video footage, witness testimony, phone records, and GPS data from a Fiat Punto to link him to the crime. According to the indictment, Ben Amara participated in the beating, striking Musiani even after the victim was semi-conscious on the ground. The assault reportedly involved kicks, punches, bottles, stones, and a bicycle.

Musiani died at Bufalini Hospital in Cesena four days after the attack. While Ben Amara’s defense maintains he was part of the group but did not participate in the beating, prosecutors allege he actively pursued and struck the victim. The suspect had previously traveled to the Netherlands and Tunisia following the incident before returning to Italy.
