Cervia launches accessibility project to remove urban barriers

The municipality of Cervia has launched the ‘Cervia No Barriere’ project, an initiative aimed at urban regeneration and improving accessibility throughout the territory. The project involves a collaborative effort between the local administration, social associations, and volunteers to map the area and identify obstacles to movement.

Starting in the locality of Pinarella, the initiative seeks to ensure that freedom of movement is a guaranteed right for all citizens, regardless of physical ability. Local officials, including Mayor Mirko Boschetti and Social Rights Delegate Samanta Farabegoli, emphasized that accessibility is a matter of social rights and essential for both residents and visitors. The project will be coordinated through the Casa del Volontariato di Cervia.
