Cervia Mayor honors Elena Omicini for 80 consecutive summers
Mirko Boschetti, the Mayor of Cervia, has honored Elena Omicini for spending 80 consecutive summers in the coastal region. Omicini, a retired electronics teacher from Terni, has visited the area every summer since her birth.
Her lifelong connection to the area began in childhood at Bagno Oreste in Milano Marittima, where her mother, Maria Mazzotti, noted she took her first steps. Over the decades, Omicini has vacationed with her original family, her own children, and currently with her sister, Elisa.
To mark this milestone, the Mayor presented her with a certificate of recognition and Cervia salt, a local symbol of prosperity. Omicini has previously been named ‘Amica di Cervia’ and ‘Salinara per un giorno’ in recognition of her long-standing affection for the territory.
