Cesano-Seveso bypass project receives 21.3 million euro investment
A new 483-meter bypass connecting Cesano Maderno and Seveso is moving forward with an investment of 21.3 million euros. The project, part of a program agreement with Ferrovienord, involves significant engineering to integrate road and rail infrastructure.
More than half of the route, approximately 257.55 meters, will be recessed or covered. This includes a 101.55-meter artificial gallery beneath the railway line and sections running below the surrounding ground level within reinforced concrete walls. The funding covers the construction of a bridge over the Seveso stream, a railway tunnel, a pedestrian and cycle underpass, two roundabouts, and local road networks. Quadrio Costruzioni S.p.A. has been awarded the contract for the works.
