Cesare Cremonini presents new album Amateur in London

Italian singer-songwriter Cesare Cremonini has presented his tenth studio album, titled ‘Amateur’, during an exclusive performance at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. The album, released via EMI/Universal Music, marks a stylistic shift toward live instrumentation, intentionally avoiding artificial intelligence in its creation.

The project features a diverse range of musical influences, including urban, blues, hip hop, folk, and rock. Cremonini collaborated with an international group of musicians, including American saxophonist Donny McCaslin, and featured guest appearances from Italian artists Salmo, Fabri Fibra, and Malika Ayane.

A central concept of the album is the character ‘SIG’, a musician wearing a golden skull mask inspired by the works of Damien Hirst and Carmelo Bene. SIG represents the complexities of the human ego and ambition. The album’s themes explore the tension between self-image and internal truth, aiming for a raw, unfiltered connection with the audience.
