Cesare Guasti National Literary Prize held in Galciana

The third edition of the Cesare Guasti National Literary Prize was held at Villa Guasti–Badiani, drawing a large crowd of cultural figures, institutions, and citizens. The event included representatives from the Accademia della Crusca, the European Parliament, and local government officials from Prato and the Tuscany Region.

Professor Massimo Fanfani, a linguist from the University of Florence and member of the Accademia della Crusca, served as the guest of honor. He delivered a presentation on the legacy of Cesare Guasti, highlighting the philologist's significant contributions to modern Italian archival science and his work on the documentary editions of Santa Maria del Fiore.

The jury, led by journalist Paolo Ciampi, awarded Alessandro Trasciatti for his published work ‘Le finestre di casa Orla’ (Metilene Edizioni) in the published works category, receiving a prize of 1,500 euros.
