Silvio Berlusconi: reflections on his media and political legacy

As the 90th anniversary of Silvio Berlusconi approaches, various figures from his political and business life have shared reflections on his legacy.

In the business sector, his journey from construction to media is highlighted by the evolution of his television empire. Starting with Telemilano in 1978, his ventures grew into Mediaset and eventually the pan-European multimedia group MFE-MediaForEurope, which maintains a presence in Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Portugal.

In sports, former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello recalled Berlusconi’s impact on Italian football. Capello described him as a “great president” who revolutionized the sport by prioritizing an intense and entertaining style of play, leading the club to major successes including the 1994 Champions League title.
