CESC Power and Deye launch new industrial energy storage systems

Energy storage manufacturers CESC Power and Deye have introduced new modular energy storage systems (ESS) designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications.

Germany-based CESC Power showcased its Mercury 418 series at Intersolar Europe. The system features a 418 kWh capacity using lithium-iron-phosphate cells and is designed to integrate with existing PV inverters. By offering 690 V and 800 V AC-side voltage levels, the system aims to eliminate the need for additional step-up transformers, reducing capital expenditure and installation time for retrofitting projects. The platform is scalable up to 8.36 MWh through parallel connections.

Chinese manufacturer Deye launched a modular C&I ESS solution capable of scaling up to 2.5 MW. The system combines 100 kW or 125 kW power conversion system (PCS) units with lithium iron phosphate battery clusters. A key feature is its 0 ms seamless switching capability, designed to prevent power interruptions and voltage sags during grid failures, similar to an online uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The system supports both AC- and DC-coupled PV configurations.
