Cesena hosts EU-Tanzania investment road show

Cesena Fiera will host a road show for the ‘EU-Tanzania Investment and Business Forum 2026-2027’ on October 1. This event serves as a precursor to the main forum scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam in 2027. Cesena is the only location in Southern Europe selected for this road show, joining Helsinki and The Hague as European hosts, a distinction attributed to the expertise of Macfrut.

The event aims to connect institutions, producer organizations, and businesses to explore investment opportunities in Tanzania. Key sectors identified for collaboration include agribusiness, digital technology, and renewable energy. Tanzania is highlighted as a strategic gateway to East Africa with significant potential in agricultural development and natural resources.

Participants include high-level officials such as Pius Stephen Chaya, Vice Minister of the Tanzanian President's Office for Planning and Investment, and Fabrizio Lobasso, Minister Plenipotentiary from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The program includes presentations on private sector opportunities and a roundtable discussion regarding financing tools and business support.
