Benevento defeats Cesena 2-0 in Serie B match

Benevento secured a 2-0 victory against Cesena at the Ciro Vigorito stadium, marking their third consecutive win in Serie B. Siatounis opened the scoring for Benevento in the first half, and Cherubini added a second goal later in the match to seal the result.

Following the match, Benevento manager Antonio Floro Flores praised his team’s maturity and defensive solidity, noting that the squad is successfully adapting to the league. He highlighted the importance of meritocracy within the team and expressed satisfaction with the players' ability to suffer and secure results.

Cesena manager Alessandro Diamanti expressed disappointment over the loss, which ended their unbeaten streak. He noted that while the team controlled parts of the game, they lacked the necessary defensive coverage and clinical finishing, specifically citing an annulled goal and a shot hitting the post as turning points. Diamanti emphasized that the young squad must grow mentally to handle such decisive moments.
