CESPM forgives 3.1 million pesos in debt for Mexicali families

The Mexicali State Public Services Commission (CESPM) has implemented a debt forgiveness decree benefiting 232 families in Commercial Zone 2. The initiative resulted in the cancellation of 3.1 million pesos in outstanding debts.

CESPM Director Armando Carrazco stated that the measure was designed to provide direct relief to families facing economic difficulties. He noted that securing the executive decree required approximately two years of coordination with the Secretariat of Finance and water operating agencies in Tecate, Tijuana, and Ensenada to ensure the measure had state-wide reach.

In addition to debt relief, the commission aims to support citizens by expanding potable water and drainage networks and strengthening equipment.
