CESPT advances sanitary network renovation in Playas de Tijuana

The Tijuana Water and Sanitation Commission (CESPT) is advancing sanitary network renovation works along the Paseo Costero in Playas de Tijuana. The project involves the replacement and relocation of 170 meters of deteriorated piping to a location that allows for better access for maintenance personnel and equipment.

In addition to the new pipeline, three inspection wells have been constructed to facilitate cleaning, inspection, and the removal of materials that might obstruct wastewater flow. CESPT Director General Mónica Vega Aguirre stated that the relocation aims to improve operational conditions and ease of maintenance.

Work is currently focused on repaving the avenue where the new piping was installed. This project is part of a broader rehabilitation of the drainage network across 13 walkways in the Paseo Costero area, which includes replacing pipes, inspection wells, and residential sanitary connections.
