Baja California and Sucre report divergent tourism and development trends

In Baja California, the municipalities of Tijuana, Tecate, and Playas de Rosarito have signed a collaboration agreement to develop the Metropolitan Strategic Plan 2026-2040. In Venezuela, the tourism sector in Bermúdez, Sucre state, is facing significant challenges. Local hotel management reports that occupancy rates have dropped to approximately 10% due to the impact of two earthquakes in June and ongoing service disruptions, affecting the 2026 vacation season.
