CESUN 5K race in Tijuana raises funds for youth mental health
More than one thousand participants, including students, academics, and the general public, took part in the eighth annual CESUN 5K race in Tijuana. The event aimed to promote physical activity while raising funds for youth mental health.
Under the theme ‘Kilometers that transform lives,’ the proceeds will fund psychological and psychopedagogical clinics, workshops, and specialized care for young people in Tijuana. The initiative specifically targets middle and high school students to provide early intervention for emotional health issues. Ana Gabriela Cervantes, Director of Academic Promotion at CESUN Universidad, noted that participation exceeded expectations and that the funds will allow the university to extend its services directly into local communities at no cost.
