Cetinje Mayor proposes honorary citizenship for Robert Glendž
Nikola Đurašković, the Mayor of Cetinje, has submitted an initiative to the Cetinje Assembly to award Robert Glendž the title of ‘Honorary Citizen of the Capital’. Glendž is a representative of the family known publicly as the ‘Montenegrin family from Berlin’.
The initiative recognizes the long-standing humanitarian, educational, and sporting support provided by Glendž and his family to the citizens of Cetinje. Notable contributions include donating computers to local primary schools, supporting various sports clubs such as Lovćen Basketball Club, Lovćen Kickboxing Club, and Crnogorac Judo Club, and providing New Year’s gifts for local children.
Additionally, the family has supported NGOs like ‘Razvitak’ and ‘Pobjednik – Winner Cetinje’, and has taken sponsorship of programs marking 20 years of Montenegro’s independence. This includes the ‘Strength of Unity: 20 for 20’ humanitarian campaign, which aims to assist twenty socially vulnerable families in Cetinje.
