Cetinje Mayor proposes honorary citizenship for Robert Glendžo

Nikola Đurašković, the Mayor of Cetinje, has announced an initiative to name Robert Glendžo an honorary citizen of the city. Glendžo, a representative of a Montenegrin family living in Berlin, is being recognized for his family’s significant humanitarian support and selfless contributions to both Cetinje and Montenegro.

Glendžo stated that if the Assembly of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje supports the initiative, it would be the first such honor he has accepted. He noted that while he has previously declined various state and institutional awards out of a belief that his family’s humanitarian work should not be accompanied by personal recognition, this specific proposal holds deep personal meaning due to his family’s historical roots and connection to the city.
