Ceuta beaches undergo changes following evictions

The beaches of Benítez and Trampolín in Ceuta have undergone significant changes following recent evictions and shifts in the local landscape. Historically, these areas were connected and served as large bathing zones, with the Trampolín area once featuring summer huts linked to military barracks.

Reflecting on the area's history, the Trampolín beach was named after a small steel pier used by the Sea Company for mooring small vessels. The region's past is also noted through the military service of actor Imanol Arias in 1978, during which he performed a rescue in the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar and engaged in local theatrical projects.
