Ceuta protest canceled following arrival of ultra-groups

A planned nighttime protest in Ceuta scheduled for Saturday, August 29, has been canceled by its organizers. The group, which initially intended to demonstrate peacefully against government management, decided to suspend the event following the arrival of ultra-groups in the city. In a statement, the organizers emphasized their rejection of any movement that promotes violence, hatred, or racism, stressing the importance of coexistence between the city's diverse communities.

Meanwhile, residents of the Cruz Blanca care home have expressed their support for Ceuta through symbolic gestures. Due to mobility issues and safety concerns stemming from recent unrest, the elderly residents displayed Spanish flags at the facility and participated in videos to show solidarity. The facility's director noted that daily life for the residents has been significantly disrupted since late July due to the proximity of migrant gatherings and military presence in the surrounding areas.
