Ceuta school community protests over hygiene and safety concerns

The educational community of CEIP Reina Sofía in Ceuta held a protest on Tuesday morning to demand improved hygiene, security, and dignity for its students. Teachers, parents, and local neighborhood associations gathered to voice concerns regarding the school's entrance.

School director Fran García stated that the issue is not new but has been aggravated recently by local circumstances. He reported that the primary school access area is frequently used by individuals for physiological needs, creating sanitary conditions that are incompatible with a safe environment for hundreds of children.

Representatives, including AMPA president Malika Mustafa, are calling for an urgent and definitive solution. They have requested that the Ministry of Education implement an exterior enclosure to prevent unauthorized access to the area and to protect students and families from inclement weather. The community emphasized that their demands are focused on hygiene and safety rather than aesthetic improvements.
