Ceuta University Hospital nurses targeted in new assault

Nurses at the University Hospital of Ceuta (HUCE) have been subjected to a new assault by a non-resident individual, according to the Central Sindical Independiente y de Funcionarios (CSIF) union.

The incident required the intervention of the National Police to assist the healthcare professionals. The affected nurses have confirmed they intend to file formal legal complaints against the aggressor. CSIF has activated its protocols to provide legal and psychological support to the victims.

The union has criticized the recent withdrawal of military patrols that previously guarded the hospital perimeter, labeling the decision as premature and irresponsible. CSIF argues that the removal of these patrols eliminated a key deterrent, leaving critical infrastructure vulnerable. The organization is calling on the National Institute of Health Management (INGESA) and the Government Delegation to coordinate and implement urgent security measures to prevent further violence.
