Cevdet Yılmaz addresses limited fund crisis in Turkish capital markets

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz addressed recent developments regarding a fund crisis within Turkey's capital markets. Speaking at the Bursa Business Meeting, Yılmaz clarified that the issue is limited to a specific and restricted area of the markets rather than being a structural problem affecting the economy as a whole.

He stated that the government is responding through both administrative and judicial interventions. Yılmaz emphasized that all relevant ministries and institutions are working in coordination to resolve the situation, expressing confidence that these measures will ultimately make the capital markets more resilient.

In a related context, the AKP Economy Affairs Presidency released social media content regarding the Capital Markets Board and the concept of ‘capital export.’ The latter post defined capital export as the process of directing financial assets to foreign markets to secure higher returns or strategic resources, noting its role in deepening global financial integration.
