Cevdet Yılmaz announces roadmap for terror-free Turkey

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has announced a roadmap aimed at eliminating terrorism in Turkey. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Mollakara Gold Mine in the Diyadin district of Ağrı, Yılmaz stated that the National Solidarity and Integration Coordination Board has established a strategic process to achieve a “terror-free Turkey” and a “terror-free region.”

The process involves monitoring developments on the ground, with the goal of completing the surrender and liquidation of weapons. Once these steps are confirmed by the National Security Council, further measures will be implemented. Yılmaz emphasized that resolving the terrorism issue will provide significant economic benefits to the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions by boosting investment, employment, agriculture, and tourism.

Regarding regional stability, Yılmaz expressed satisfaction with the announcement of the SDG/YPG's dissolution and reiterated Turkey's support for a stable Syria that maintains its territorial integrity.

In addition to security matters, Yılmaz highlighted the economic importance of the Mollakara Gold Mine. Developed with an investment of approximately $250 million, the facility aims to produce 1 ton of gold this year and 3 tons next year. He noted that utilizing domestic resources is a strategic priority to reduce import dependency and strengthen the national economy.
