Cevdet Yılmaz criticizes FETÖ and addresses Gaza crisis

Speaking at the 13th International Bediüzzaman Symposium in Istanbul, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz criticized the FETÖ terrorist organization, stating it exploits the name and works of Bediüzzaman Said Nursi to create chaos. Yılmaz described the group as a hierarchical structure that serves international intelligence interests while turning its members into ‘machines’ by stripping them of their freedom.

Yılmaz also addressed global issues, specifically the situation in Gaza. He noted that the silence regarding the loss of civilian lives and the deprivation of basic needs in Gaza highlights a crisis within the international system. He emphasized that Turkey and the Islamic world aim to be both powerful and just, advocating for a stance against oppression based on principles of justice and human dignity.
