Cezar Crețu reaches career-high ATP ranking after Challenger title
Romanian tennis player Cezar Crețu recently experienced significant career milestones, including winning his first ATP Challenger title in Augsburg, Germany, by defeating Argentina's Facundo Mena 6-2, 6-0. This victory propelled Crețu to a career-high ATP ranking of 230, making him the highest-ranked Romanian player.
Following his title win, Crețu competed in the Istanbul Challenger tournament in Turkey, where he was defeated in the first round by France's Harold Mayot with a score of 6-2, 6-4.
Other Romanian players, Adrian Boitan and Gabriel Ghețu, successfully qualified for the main draw in Istanbul. Boitan defeated Ziya Ayberk Aydin and Ergi Kirkin, while Ghețu secured his spot by defeating Kaya Arinc and Alibek Kacimazov.
