Cezeri Green Technology High School named World's Best School Prizes finalist

Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Turkey's first renewable energy high school, has become a finalist in the ‘World's Best School Prizes’ organized by T4 Education.

The school applied in the ‘Environmental Action’ category and was selected as one of the top 10 schools globally from thousands of applicants. The award program evaluates institutions across five categories: Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Challenges, and Supporting Healthy Living.

Since its establishment in 2017, the school has implemented various initiatives, including the ‘Energy Detective Project,’ which integrates renewable energy systems into the curriculum and teaches students to collect and analyze data from real energy systems. Other activities include carbon footprint reduction and energy efficiency practices. School Principal İlker Erkmen stated that the institution focuses on instilling environmental awareness in both young students and adults through various educational programs.
