CF Benchmarks launches CFB Oracle for blockchain applications

CF Benchmarks, an FCA-regulated benchmark administrator owned by Payward (the parent company of Kraken), has launched CFB Oracle. This service delivers cryptographically signed market indices directly to blockchain applications to ensure data integrity and origin verification.

The oracle provides real-time data across various asset classes, including cryptocurrencies, equities, fixed income, commodities, foreign exchange, and staking or interest-rate benchmarks. The initial rollout supports Ethereum mainnet, HyperEVM, Ink, and Robinhood Chain, with plans to expand to other EVM-compatible networks.

CF Benchmarks' indices are already utilized in traditional finance, underpinning products such as BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF and CME Group’s crypto futures. The new service is intended for use cases such as perpetual futures, lending, and prediction markets. Notably, the oracle is designated as a planned reference-price provider for a proposed US onchain perpetual futures product via Hyperliquid, though such derivative services remain subject to regulatory approval.
