CF Montreal defeats FC Cincinnati 3-1 behind Prince Owusu brace

CF Montreal secured a 3-1 victory over FC Cincinnati at Stade Saputo on Saturday night, snapping a seven-game winless streak. Daniel Rios opened the scoring for Montreal in the 25th minute with a volley.

Despite playing with a depleted roster due to international call-ups and an early injury to Brayan Ceballos, Montreal took control late in the match. Prince Owusu scored two goals in a three-minute span during the 72nd and 75th minutes, converting a penalty and then capitalizing on a defensive error to secure the win.

FC Cincinnati's lone goal was scored by Tom Barlow in the 64th minute following a pass from Gerardo Valenzuela. With this performance, Owusu reached a career-high 15 goals for the season, joining a select group of franchise players with at least 15 goals in a single regular season.
