CFA President marks start of 2026-2027 football season

Harris Loizides, President of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), has issued a message marking the start of the 2026-2027 football season. He expressed expectations for a competitive and high-quality championship, emphasizing that the CFA has worked alongside various associations to prepare for the upcoming competitions.

Loizides highlighted that the organization's priorities include the smooth conduct of matches, stadium security, and continuous improvements across all sectors, including refereeing. He noted that Cypriot football has made significant progress and called for a collective responsibility among the federation, associations, the state, and fans to protect the sport and ensure well-attended stadiums.

Additionally, the President congratulated Omonia and Pafos FC for their qualification into the League Phase of the Europa League and the Conference League, respectively, describing their participation as a significant success for Cypriot football.
