CFE and Oaxaca government launch electrical service training program

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and the Oaxaca state government have launched the ‘CFE Conectada Contigo’ training program. Oaxaca is the first state in Mexico to host these sessions, which aim to strengthen collaboration between the federal utility and local municipalities.

The initiative brought together 108 mayors from various regions, including the Istmo, Costa, Sierra Sur, Sierra Norte, Cañada, Valles, and Mixteca. The training focuses on preventive maintenance to ensure electrical system reliability and reduce service failures, particularly in high-need areas. Discussions included infrastructure maintenance strategies, such as tree pruning, to improve service efficiency for local families.
