CFE Internet offers mobile data and MiFi services in Mexico

The Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) provides internet and mobile telephony services in Mexico through its CFE Internet initiative, specifically targeting rural areas and regions with limited private coverage.

One available option is a 100 GB data package. Pricing for this plan is $1,180 MXN monthly, $6,000 MXN semiannually, or $11,960 MXN annually. While the data is valid for 30 days, semiannual and annual plans feature automatic data renewal for each period. Connection speeds are subject to network saturation and local signal conditions.

Additionally, CFE offers a portable MiFi service using the ZLT M30 wireless modem manufactured by Tozed Kangwei Tech. This device operates on the 4.5G network via Altán Redes (Band 28) and allows up to 10 simultaneous connections. The MiFi service functions on a prepaid basis and is strictly for data, offering no voice minutes or text messaging.
