CFE opens service stations in Mexicali to address billing complaints

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) has established temporary service stations at the Mexicali City Hall to address widespread resident complaints regarding excessive electricity bills and frequent power outages. The initiative follows protests from citizens reporting “crazy bills” and significant service disruptions, including instances where residents experienced up to seven power cuts in a single day.

Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda coordinated with the federal utility to provide in-person assistance. CFE personnel are available to review individual billing discrepancies and provide clarifications. The service stations operate from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and are intended to help residents resolve issues that previously lacked adequate response through standard reporting channels.
