CFL teams bolster rosters ahead of Labour Day weekend

The Calgary Stampeders and Ottawa Redblacks have bolstered their defensive lines with new Canadian signings as the Canadian Football League approaches the Labour Day weekend. The Redblacks signed defensive lineman Philippe Lemieux-Cardinal, who previously played for the Montreal Alouettes. The Stampeders signed defensive lineman Collin Kornelson following his release from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

In the West Division, the Edmonton Elks currently hold an 8-3 record and sit atop the division. Elks quarterback Cody Fajardo emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum, noting that the season must be approached with intensity from Week 1 rather than waiting for the traditional Labour Day period to begin.
